Advice issued to those seeking commercial mortgages

Advice issued to those seeking commercial mortgages
Date: 10/16/2009

Those looking to invest in commercial property have been advised to carefully consider their options before making the plunge.

According to Andrew Pitts of Money Observer magazine, there are numerous opportunities to be found in the commercial property sector for those willing to take a long-term view on their investments.

However, he added: "It should be predominantly seen from an income perspective and not a capital gains perspective."

Mr Pitts also said that it is important to distinguish between the different types of investment vehicles available for putting money into the property market and suggested that people's aims and target timeframes tend to shape whether it is right for them to push funds into the sector.

A recent report from Reita indicated that over 95 per cent of property experts believe conditions have improved in the market over the last three months.

Over half of respondents said they thought the state of the sector had seen "significant" improvement in the recent past.
